Long Beach Organic's Youth Environmental Leadership, Sept. 2008
The $4,000 we raised this month established a Youth Environmental Leadership Team, comprised of
North Long Beach junior high and high school students, at Carmelitos Community Garden, located in
what once was once a trash-strewn vacant lot near a former crime-ridden housing project.

What is the Progressive Dinner Party?
We are the party that is different AND can make a difference! We share dinner and wine with friends
on the third Sunday of every other month at the home of a "party member," where we will enjoy each
other’s company and contribute the price of an average dinner out to a local cause that benefits
children and families. Occasionally we also host informal gatherings to benefit international causes
that are near and dear to our hearts.

We need your food, wine and house donations!
The homes, food, wine and even plates and napkins are donated by businesses and individuals who
care about making a difference in the community. Read about the biodegradable products we use at

so helpful!

The Organizations that Benefit
Since our first dinner in November, 2004 we have raised more than $83,000 in cash and in-kind
donations for several Long Beach non-profit charities that benefit children and families. Click here for
