A little information about the Progressive Operatives (l-r):
Cari Marshall has been an arts professional for more than ten
years. She and her husband, fellow progressive operative Eric de
Valpine, have lived in Long Beach since 2000
Donna Hilbert is a poet and writer whose latest book is
Traveler in Paradise: New and Selected Poems, Pearl Editions,
2004. She has lived in Long Beach since 1998. Read more

Eric de Valpine was a founder of the Social Responsibility
Initiative at the Paul Merage School of Business, University of
California, Irvine, and now serves as Director of Finance at

Tere Sievers - originally a Jersey Girl - moved in 1971 to Long
Beach, where she and her husband Ron raised their two
daughters. A long-time volunteer and community activist, she
works as a Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice.
Lenore Brown, who has lived in Long Beach for over 20 years,
is a Marriage and Family Therapist. She and her husband Don
(an active PDP member) are recent “empty-nesters” whose
daughter attends Stanford University.
